Happy to see Summits Logo on Breaking Dawn Pt 2!

I love this edit my TwiBFF did Lisa from Twilighters Dream did!
If you haven't checked out her page/blog you should.  She ROCKS!
I know Summit Entertainment is now Lions Gate, but just like Lisa stated on her facebook page I'm still happy to see the Summit logo on all five Twilight Saga movies as well.  =o)

It's like tradition, so to speak.  It a must there when we all go to see the midnight showing of  BD2!

The last installment of the Twilight Saga may mark the end of an era, but I wouldn't have changed a thing, and what a fangtastic journey we have had!

208 days to go!!! =o)

Happy April Fools day! I am loving April so far aren't you?

Have you change your Breaking Dawn Pt 1 Calender today to April yet?

I was almost afraid to change mine over because I LOVED March so much, but once I saw our BOYS, or I should say, "Our MEN" all fears faded away.  Kee hee   =o)
I love how both Breaking Dawn Pt 1 calenders have Edward and Jacob as the month of April.
So no matter which one you have its a win-win situation now isn't it?  =o)

Below is a poem I had to post because it actually reminds me of something
Renesmee would say, or write for some reason.

I can picture her looking out the window of her little cottage in the woods, watching the rain fall to the forest floor while she waits for Jacob to come be by her side.  =o)

Anyway, have a great Sunday, a fantastic April, and always remember to
keep the SPARKLE alive!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

The day begins all sunny and bright;
It fills a young heart entirely with delight.
Then, suddenly the sky turns dark,
Like a horror movie during the approach of a killer shark.

Clouds turn from that cottony white
TO a dark grey that is as black as night.
Next, that smell pollutes the air,
That smell that only comes this often one month a year.

The scent of damp leaves creeps nearer and nearer
The smell of a major rainfall now becomes clearer.
The air pressure begins to fall;
I feel like I am carrying, on my shoulders, the entire shopping mall.

Now, as I stand outside in only my new sundress
I realize that I have left my arms vulnerable for goose bumps to caress.
I can hear the wind howl all around,
Sounding like a livid cat shrieking at a hound.

I flee to my house as that soft pitter patter begins to fall
Then grows to the great Civil War, refusing to stop at all.
I feel my cheery mood begin to disperse
From happy-go-lucky to something much worse.

Outside, the only thing I can hear is drip drop, drip drop.
Inside my heart, the only thing I can feel is flip flop, flip flop.
I try to play a game, then read an old novel
But, to my dismay, the only thing I want to do is find Mother Nature and grovel.

Finally, when I begin to loose hope of reaching the end,
Mother Nature decides to send a glow from around the bend.
I can see the gentle breeze blow the storm clouds away
And throw the reins on the rain to hold it at bay.

When I look outside, the sun begins to shine
And I look in that garden that I call mine.
From the ground peaks a little button of green
And I know that May’s breathtaking violet crocuses will soon be seen.

You compare one small tree to the entire forest.

This edit is from pictures I took this morning from my window at work.
It reminded me of a Eclipse quote and had to share.
Have a great Hump day everyone!!!
“Do you really have any idea how important you are to me? Any concept at all of how much I love you?" He pulled me tighter against his hard chest, tucking my head under his chin.

I pressed my lips against his snow-cold neck. "I know how much I love you," I answered.

You compare one small tree to the entire forest."

I rolled my eyes, but he couldn't see. "Impossible.”

Abduction Review~ Well sort of...

So I have a friend that has not read the Twilight Saga YET, and has never seen the movies YET.
I know, I know tragic isn't it?!
I always politely offer her my books and movie anytime she would like to barrow them, but sadly she always declines and tells me she is not a fan and has no interest in becoming one.
Now you might think she is a hater and lets not go there... I don't like calling anyone a hater if I can help myself.  Lets just say she has not had the pleasure of tasting the sweet, addictive, venom that lingers in these pages in order to be changed yet is all.
I am working on her.  I know she is Twi-curious.  She just wont admit it, and lets face it that's a start in my book.
However, she told me today she watched Abduction and thinks Taylor Lautner, AKA, Jacob Black is a HOTTIE and might, MIGHT be interested in watching Twilight now that she has seen him in this movie.
AHA! GOTCHA!
Is all I could think when she told me this....

To be continued........

Dreaming, bigtime!

Love this poem....

Hold fast to dreams
For if dreams die
Life is a broken-winged bird
That cannot fly.
Hold fast to dreams
For when dreams go
Life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.
~Langston Hughes

Someday I'm gonna have me one of these!!! I'm sure my hubby prefers me
to get the Volvo, but hey who knows. HAHA

I need an Alice Cullen!

With the New year about to start I have been thinking about resolutions lately however, lets face it no one keeps them.  I pretty much stopped making them years ago simply because I never did keep them past the first week of January myself.
I soooo wish I had an Alice Cullen in my life to either do things for me or make things simpler if nothing else.
*SIGH*, but lets get real here.  It's ME, and only ME who will make things happen for myself.
Sadly Alice is only in a book.... A very awesome book, but still in a book nonetheless. ;(
Although, a little help now, and then would be nice for all of us wouldn't it?   So when I found this FANTASTIC little site the other day, it gave me hope that I could make 2012 a little less messy, and chaotic for myself.  Well that's the idea at least.

I have decided to call it "My goals" instead of My resolutions for 2012.
Maybe word trickery would help me stay on task a little more as well who knows.

Anyway, you all must check out MySimplerLife.

MySimplerLife
They have this wonderful Declutter and Organize Calender that I LOVE! (I know hard to see on my site, but check them out. Much simplier. Hah, hah, hah)
They have one for every month of the year, and each day it gives you a simple task to do to declutter your life.
PERFECT!
I love this because every time I sit down to write myself a honey do list I can never really quite remember everything I need to do.  Yeah, right.  More like selective memories to me, but ya know....

Anyway, now I don't have to remember or write a list.  They did it for me.  Oh, and trust me when I looked at the calender it pretty much can and does all apply to what I can and should be doing in my own home.  So I bet it will work for you too.

This site is my own personal little Alice Cullen, and for that I thank them.  Well maybe I will thank them more this same time next year.  Hmm, will see now wont we?  =o)
Anywhoooo, with there help I am hoping to tackle this mess you see here on my bed.  These four books are all my address books from over the last 20 years.  May not seem like much to you, but they really do need to be condensed into one.
No more CLUTTER!
Now I know we have modern technology to help keep our digits and addresses in tack, but when those things fail us, get lost or stolen what are you left with?  Just a bunch of people standing around saying, "Umm, I don't know my mom's number she was speed dial number 6."  Yep, when it all fails us we are simply left with good old fashion paper.

So declutter job number one for 2012 is to get ONE address book that has everyone and everything in it and chuck the rest.  Besides I am sure there is some updating to be done with the way my friends move around these days.
I may not have an Alice Cullen to get my booty in gear, but I know I can "take control" because "I am a strong independent woman" who can tackle anything I set my mind to!
Alice had the vision,so this is how I know.... ;o)

If it's not on facebook it must be true???

So I have a funny story to share with you all…

There is a coffee shop/restaurant across from where I work, and if I leave my window open to the office I can hear the employees of the coffee shop talking, chatting and breaking things on a regular bases.

Ok, so today I hear this…

Customer: Hey, I’ll take a caramel macchiato, decafe, extra foam – skinny…
Employee: Skinny?
Customer: Yeah why?
Employee: Aren’t you pregnant?
Customer: *GASP* NO, why would you think that?
Employee: I totally thought you were pregnant because of “this” guys facebook status.

{HA HA HA}... Now why on earth would anyone just out right say, “Aren’t you pregnant?” to another person?  Especially, if it’s something you read off of another person’s facebook status…OH MY GAWD, is all I want to say!  That’s horrid…
Some people need to learn that unless a woman is holding a baby in her arms one should never assume a woman is pregnant or has ever given birth for that matter.  And you best make sure it’s her baby she is holding before saying a word to her.  You just don’t go there. No way. Not cool!

What’s funny about this story, and more to the point of what I am trying to say; we have this huge electronic reader board near the freeway where we live that states,  “The end is near.”
Both my kids and I have caught sight of this sign a few times, but the last time we drove by my son laughed and chuckled out loud, knowing we all saw the sign again, “But it’s not even 2012 yet?”
My oldest with a very serious look on her face pops off with, “Yeah and I have not even read that on facebook either.” {Lots of laughter from all of us}

So the moral of my stories must be:  If it’s not a status update on facebook then it must not be true, it must not be happening, or its not gonna happen??!  {Hah, hah, hah}

Really people? Really!? What is the world coming too? ;/

Great Advise! Easier said than done, but still great!

I am not sure who sent this advise to me, but I had to pay it forward and share with you all.  Love it and try to live by it each and every day!  Enjoy!

  • Being attuned to someone means being present for them. To do so, when he or she is speaking with you, do not be distracted by anything else (e.g. texts or cell phones).
  • You do not have to see something exactly as someone else does in order to "get" their point of view. All you have to do is acknowledge their feelings.
  • Do not rush in with a solution to a problem. Often, people just need to express their feelings as this can be comforting enough.
  • Words are not necessary for someone to feel your sense of being there. Your mere physical presence or a slight reassuring physical gesture may be all that is needed especially in times of difficulty.
  • When you are listening to someone, make eye contact. Since the frontal cortex is behind the eyes, this will help to feel a sense of connection. Even if the person is not looking at you at the moment, by you maintaining your gaze, you are "there" should the person look up to you.
  • If you are not sure what the person wants, ask: "In what way can I be most helpful to you?"
  • If the person asks for a favor to be done, do it in the manner in which it is asked regardless of whether you agree with it or not.
  • When you are checking in on someone, do so without any other message attached as another message waters down your concern.
  • Always make sure to let those who are important to you to know it - one never knows when the time will come when you will no longer have that opportunity.

On line books ~ ROCK!

If you love to read and have not discovered this web site yet you are missing out!  Onread.com is a great way to catch up on your reading and not leave the comforts of your couch, chair, or work desk for that matter.  NOT that I have done that myself!
I am just saying this would be a great way to catch up on that book you keep putting off, and your boss would never, ever know you are not working.  Throw in a few keyboard strokes now and then and you are good to go.   LOL
Anyhooo, check this site out.  Its great and its FREE!  =0)  Books on line, how can you beat that?

Wish I was closer to the Hood, Mt. Hood that is...

A friend who is far away is sometimes much nearer than one who is at hand. Is not the mountain far more awe-inspiring and more clearly visible to one passing through the valley than to those who inhabit the mountain?

Cell phone mirror photography etiquette... Ha Ha Is there one?

Ok, there are a few things I have discovered a person should do before taking a picture of themselves in the bathroom mirror or ANY mirror for that matter:

1. Clean the mirror  - Most cameras or camera phones will focus on the spots and not you.
2. Shut toilet lid, PLEASE! - Not very attractive to see along side or in back of you, and if nothing else make sure you have flushed the toilet; that's just nasty.

3. Make sure no friend or family member is walking by half naked, or sleeping  in the same room while you try to snap the next photo of the century for your portfolio on Match.com.

4. Also make sure all doors, windows, and children are either locked, shut or at the babysitters house.  We don't need to expose EVERYTHING to everyone now do we?

So remember folks: What happens in the bathroom should stay in the bathroom... =)

Other wise EPIC FAIL PEOPLE!

(Don't own any pictures found them on the Internet, of course.)

Love Making Tips For Seniors

These were too cute not to share!!

1. Wear your glasses to make sure your partner is actually in the bed.

2. Set timer for 3 minutes, in case you doze off in the middle.

3. Set the mood with lighting. (Turn them ALL OFF!)

4. Make sure you put 911 on your speed dial before you begin.

8. Make all the noise you want...... The neighbors are deaf too.

9. If it works, call everyone you know with the good news!!

10. Don't even think about trying it twice.

Ha ha, Oh my!  When all else fails just go for it cause life is too short to worry about indecent exposure, Bengay, and the police.!!!! Cause when the Viagra kicks in there is always a time and a place!

From a$$holes to practicing integrity and kindness; Can your kid do it?

I had the privilege today of reading a great blog about a mom and her adventures with kids at a playground... Or to be more precise, her adventures with a$$hole kids at a playground.  Ha ha ....Its a must read.

I would love to say more, but she said enough and I am just delighted that I am not alone when it comes to the "issues" we seem to have with kids these days and THEIR parents.
Like I commented to her, kids learn by example and its unfortunate that we have so many ill-behaved and a$$holes walking the earth these days.

Although, maybe we don't have more a$$holes, maybe they have always been there lurking, but have defiantly, and finally decided to come out of the closet for lack of a better term.  Nonetheless, I would like to go on record by stating, "GO BACK IN AND STAY THERE!!!"
Please read Michelle's post... You might find it interesting or offending, but either way its good!
So its nice to find web sites like this one when there are so many a$$holes slithering the earth. Where one woman is trying to help educate kids about social standards.

It would be wonderful if more parents would look into educating their children on the art of practicing integrity, kindness, and compassion in order to cultivate the understanding that using good manners can be the key to better playground etiquette.

Children need to learn that a firm handshake, saying please and looking someone between the eyes while speaking to them are all good upstanding qualities, which may get them further in life then pushing, shoving and talking down to others.
I know I am asking for the world here aren't' I?  Hey, a girl can have a dream can't she?  =)

Unfortunately, there is one huge, gigantic, and enormous catch to all of this working; manner classes that is.
Like I mentioned above; kids learn by example, so with that said we need the a$$hole parents to show up for these classes first; learn it, breath it, and live it, in order for any of us to even begin to hope that the offspring of the a$$holes will eventually set foot into a business like Sandi's.

I highly commend this women for the task she is trying to accomplish.  I sincerely hope her business thrives, busting out at the seems from all the kids walking through her doorway, and I wish her the very best of luck! Because some of us truly know the world needs all the kindness it can find out of everyone and anyone these days!

One of my favorite books ever!  Well next to the Twilight Saga that is... ha ha  ;0)

Rebuttal to your Yaaaawwwn

http://thesophisticatedgirlsguideto.blogspot.com/2011/03/yaaaawwwn.html#links
So you will need to read my girls friends post on her blog, the link above, to understand my statement (s) below.  I loved her post and I believe it is very much so food for thought.

Years a go I lowered my expectations, just a bit, of our human standards in order to "handle" people better, and yet our race keeps sinking lower and lower.  When will it be too low? Where is the bottom?  When do we say enough, is enough?
I believe what we falsely let others hide behind the labels we give them or the labels they have earned but abuse:  Doctor, Teacher, COACH, Christian, Police Officer just to name a few of those labels.  Just because someone calls themselves these things doesn't mean they are any more well mannered or educated then the next person.  Not to say we think housekeeper is high or low that is... I am just throwing out my thoughts people, so don't read this personally, think globally.  ;)
Nontheless, we all have been raised to believe that if you are lost, in trouble, or need help you can trust a Police Officer or go to your Coach for help. I mean who would think a housekeeper would ask such a thing?  I thought their profession is trained to come quietly, clean up and leave in the same manner as they arrived?
Unfortunately, with poor nutrition or lack of proper breeding, who knows what the case or issues may be, it seems like we have had a large infiltration from the scum of the earth getting into these prominent positions; going stealth you could say, and brainwashing all of us into accepting it's ok to sleep on the couch in the lobby of a business, or assume entitlement no matter what the situation may be.
Even worst these crusty creatures will pass themselves off as coaches or public servants who then turn into drug dealers, child molesters and end up doing more harm then good to us and our friends/families.
Lower our expectations?  "NO!"   My expectations will remain high or, I should say, I will keep high HOPES that no matter what label we place on others or ourselves we will keep a healthy altitude of what should be good and not corrupt.
What I will change though is how I trust the person telling me to trust them.  What will change is how I interact with the stupid out there.  What will change is when I get poor customer service from anyone whether you are at work, home, or out wondering in life; I will address this inappropriateness with careful tact, and try to help correct it by not accepting this standard of behavior as a "NORM".   Kill'em, (correct them) with kindness, and in return NOT pay the horrid deeds forward to others.
We all learn by example no matter what our age.  We all have the ability to stop the madness, and I work very hard every day to do just that, not only with myself but in how I raise my children; however the damage is done.
For me the words Doctor, Teacher, Coach, Christian, and Police Officer can give me the same heavy, shallow pit, ickiness in my stomach feeling that the words, Politician, Lawyer, Criminal, Democrat, and Republican can give me as well. Its very heartbreaking, and down right dismay because I know there are still good people out there, but they are few and far between.
It saddens me to speculate how long it will take us, as a whole, to get our society out of this mess we have allowed?
Is asking to sleep on a businesses couch ok?  No, and I don't care who you are we all need to start cleaning it a up bit, communicating clearer and raising our levels of acceptance , in order to prevent the couch sleepers of today from ruling our world tomorrow.
