Our Twilight Corner meets Team Kellmett and it ROCKS!!!

It all started when Lyndy Shields won a trip to Forks, Washington when she entered a photo contest that was put on by I Need a Splash of Forks.  It was awesome because Lyndy invited a few friends to join her on this trip, and one of them was Victoria from Team Kellmett.

You see I have known Victoria through Facebook for over a year now, and was completely thrilled to find out they all were coming up to visit the Pacific Northwest.

So right away my daughter and I offered to show them the Twilight filming locations in Oregon if they ever made it down our way.
Well they did, and we had a BLAST!

As soon as I found out when Victoria was coming to Oregon I texted another Twilight fan who lives here, and asked her if she would like to hang with us for the day in order to meet Victoria and her friends as well.  We had all NEVER meet before, and I thought it was very exciting, daring, and adventurous for us to be doing this just out of the blue.

On Sunday March 11th, 2012 we pick up Tami D first in order to surprise Victoria, and her friends.  V had no clue Tami was gonna be with us.  She thought it was just me and Savanna from Our Twilight Corner.  You see Tami use to help admin on The TwiHard Diet page with Victoria at one time, so I thought it only fitting we should all hook up, and finally put real sparkly faces with real sparkly people.

Here we all are having fun right away with Edward!  lol
Didn't take us long to feel like old sparkly friends that's for sure, but I think that's the power
of Twilight don't you?
Tami is on the left, then Savanna, Edward, Victoria and I am the one driving in glasses.  Well I wasn't driving when I took this pic though.. NOOO, that's not safe kids... ha ha

After a very wet, but sparkly meet and greet at the ladies hotel we all ran over to Carver Cafe for lunch.
 Steak and Cobbler right?
No wait I think Victoria had a "Veggie Platter"... lol
From left to right is Lyndy, who won the I Need A Splash Of Forks trip, Christy, Jennifer and Victoria.

After lunch it was off to the boulders.  We all know this spot right?
Where the Lion fell in love with the lamb.  Only this time is was Jennifer, and
Christy reenacting that scene.. Ha ha I love it!

Oh look Victoria, Edward and Lyndy all went on a "Field Trip"...=o)
No compost tea for me thanks.. Ha ha

Another wonderful stop on our tour was The View Point Inn.
Sadly, TVPI where the Twilight Prom scene took place burned down in 7/2011, but it still kind of
stands waiting for someone to buy it, rebuild it, and love it again. Although, the views have not changed and are still very spectacular to say the least.
Jennifer, Christy, and Lyndy in front of TVPI sign.

Victoria is in front of the gorgeous view of the Columbia River Gorge from TVPI.

Savanna and Victoria are sad because the Twilight Prom Arch is no
longer located at  TVPI.  However, its a bitter sweet moment because the arch has a new
SPARKLY home in Forks.  We couldn't have asked for a better spot for it either.  =o)
Thanks Forks!
We are hoping to see the famous arch again when we head off on our Twilgrimage to Forks this fall for Stephenie Meyer Days 2012!!! =o)   Its a must trip for any Twilighter I feel!

Look we are all acting goofy in front of  the cold, wet, and gray Pacific Northwest landmark
This spectacular waterfall is a must see for all out of towners.  Heck, I love coming
here no matter what! It's beautiful rain or shine!

The Cullen's home!
Enough said!  Love it!  Always a thrill.

Now I have been on this Twilight tour several times, but have never been to Bella Swan's house in the Twilight hours, kee hee, and let me tell ya its AWESOME!
Bella's house is very surreal and well, --Twilightish at night!
I felt like we could have ran into Alice and Emmett at any moment
while they were both doing another protection duty; to keep Bella safe... =o)
It's a must see when you come to Oregon as a Twilighter!  No one should ever miss it!

We ended our day having dinner, and toasting each other, and our Twilight friendship in St. Helen's Oregon, aka Port Angeles.  This is where a lot of the filming was done for Twilight anyway, and we felt like it was fitting to end our tour here.  Plus it was very dark out and if you go Twilighting at night on private property you have a tendency to get arrested, and that would have been bad.  lol
However, words cannot explain how FANTASTIC it was to meet more Twilight fans who live, and breath Twilight the way we do.  I hope Victoria and her friends can come back again some day, and see more of the Pacific Northwest.  It was a joy and a pleasure to show them around.

You know Stephenie Meyer Days are only 5 months away...
Just sayin... =o)

You can see more photo's from our Twilight Adventure on our Facebook page: Our Twilight Corner.

Portland's Polar Plunge 2012 & Breaking Dawn part 1???

Today a good friend of mine took the Polar Plunge into the Columbia River, and I think she is AMAZING for doing this!!!

Well she's NUTS too, but I do love her anyway!

She is so AWESOME for doing this because for one in the Pacific Northwest I am NOT getting into 30 degree or cooler water for no one.. Nope, sorry too chilly for me.  Yes I am a wimp, and I am ok with that! You are crazy Apryl, so good job. You win!  =o)
Secondly, she is wonderful because she actually got into the Columbia River.  o.O

Oh you all have no idea what goes on in that water, or falls into that water and because of that unknown I stay clear of swimming, touching or even eating anything that has been in that river, EVER... Eeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww, yucky...
So yes she is a brave women in my book.  Just make sure you go through the decontamination process properly will ya Apryl.  I would really hate for you to grow a third eye or a tail. ;/

I mean Edward Cullen himself had better be in that river waiting for me before I will set foot in it.
Yeah just like this too!  Ha ha
However, since Edward is NOT real, and sadly only a fictional character, there is no chance in heck this will ever take place!

Yes the Columbia River Gorge is very pretty, but it's still not something I am getting into anytime soon or at all.  It can be at times very filthy with who knows what or who, yes who, floating in it at any given moment  o.O
Okay, okay, so I might be a tiny bit over reacting, and there might NOT be dead bodies floating around like ducks on most days, but its still dirty and very cold to me, so its a ----big NOPE, when it comes to taking a little dip of any kind in it.

Anywhoo, I think my friend is AMAZING for doing this, as are all the Polar Plungers, because it was all done for charity not just for personal satisfaction.!!!  So good job everyone!

HOWEVER, what I found really cool, and kind of ironic is when my friend texted me photos of her chilly experience today, she showed me this little gift she won while standing around waiting to run in and freeze her buns off.
Yeah kind of cool that she won this Breaking Dawn part one baseball hat at an event where everyone is ice cold!    Tee hee
Anyway, I have not seen them before, and now I think I will have to plot the removal of this Twilight Treasures from her possession when she is not looking.   Tee hee

No, really its funny how she is off doing something good and kind, and I have a Twilight moment via through her.  I just love it when that happens.

Although, I truly believe the BD1 hat would look more awesome in Our Twilight Corner then on her head!  HA HA, I am just kidding Apryl!

Anywhoo, if you would like to donate to the Special Olympics then check out this link: Polar Plunge.

Its always better to give then to receive no matter what time of year it is! =o)

It's Here, It's Here! Did you get your copy of Breaking Dawn part 1 yet?

So the Breaking Dawn part 1 DVD has been out for a little over 12 hours now in the USA...
How many times have you watched it, so far?

Doesn't it feel so good to finally add it to your Twilight Collection?

Soooo, where and what did everyone do last night while waiting for midnight to roll around?  I hope you all had fun!?  I know I did!  I would have liked more Twi-friends with me,but it was cool.  I made my own party.  Tee hee

I stopped by my local Wal-Mart to check out what they were doing or to see what they had displayed.
It was cool I think...

I heard their line was a mile long with Twifans waiting to get their copy of the Bella's Wedding dress edition.
I ordered mine so I will have to wait a little while longer as well.  However, its not too late to order your copy if you didn't pick one up last night.  Follow the link: Breaking Dawn part one- Wal-Mart.

I also stopped by Target and, whoop whoop, scored big time!.  Unfortunately, my Target was NOT doing a midnight party..
-- Booo!!!
However, they did finally have out some Twilight Treasures!  YAY!!!
I was able to pick up some items I thought I would NEVER find.  Now I have some must needed party supplies for when we go to Forks for Stephenie Meyer Days this year.  Yay!!
If you hurry they still might have some cool items left.. --Hey, you never know!  =o)

Oh yeah, and trust me when I say, "I make my own party."  If you didn't already see from our facebook page last night it is apparently, ILLEGAL to drive like a "Cullen" our country. HA HA

Lucky for me, the "Charlie" who pulled me over let me off with just a warning.  However, my kind and loving son, snap a few photos of the event just in case I received a ticket or was incarcerated...
Nice eh?
Yeah, I was feeling the love for sure after he told me that.  Although, it was still a very cool Twilight moment for me, so its all good.  Shhh, I am not telling anyone that though.. tee hee

However, our final destination for the night was F.Y.E. and UGH, it seemed like it took FOREVER for midnight to hit!  After Savanna, my daughter, finally got home from work we ditched the boy, and off we went to stand in line with all the other HUGE Twi-Fans,,, or so we thought.

However, that was not the case at all.  >.<

We showed up at 11:50pm to F.Y.E, and were greeted by 5 other people standing in line.   Yep, 5! and we made it 7!
Really pathetic, but nice for waiting.  I feel bad for the lady who runs the F.Y.E though.  She was really hoping for a large turn out.  I guess all the fans went to Portland, Oregon or maybe Forks?  My hope is Forks.. =o)
Although, the really cool part about being in a world where fans are scarcely around, is the fact that my name was first on the list for a drawing to win the Breaking Dawn banner F.Y.E had up, and planning to give away soon.  Yay!!!
I hope I win it!  It will look FANTASTIC in Our Twilight Corner.
Wellll, room... Twilight Room.  I feel I am out growning my Corner and or need more Corners to inhabit.. =o)  I will keep ya posted if we get lucky though...
The best part of the DVD I received from F.Y.E was the cute little frame we got with our order.  Its got Bella and Edwards wedding photo in it and its kind of a peather-ish I guess you could say material.  Anyway, its only about 3X4 and will look AWESOME on my dresser... Yeah, I think I will put them on the Corner of my dresser for now and see if my hubby notices.  Probably not, so its all good.. =o)

Anywhoo, I do miss all my Twi-Girls, and it would have been AMAZING to running around with them last night,,,, (they know who they are. -- *wink wink*), but all in all it was a fun night.  I had a great time with my kids, and I am glad I finally have my copy of this wonderful movie to add to Our Twilight Corner as well.

Besides, you can't wait around for a Twi-life to happen.  If you love it, and want to go, then GO.  Go out and make your own Twi-Adventures because life goes on with or without you, so why wait?  =o)

Flat Stanley's Twilight Adventure

Recently my little niece who lives in Washington sent me her Flat Stanley, well a Flat Chloe to be exact because that's my nieces name.
I know too cute!
Anyway, she wanted me to take her little flatty on an adventure because her third grade class is learning about U.S Geography.  Awesome right?!  Oh, wait if you are wondering who or what a Flat Stanley is here's a link to help get you up to speed:.  Flat Stanley   =o)

At any rate, I was super excited when I found out she wanted ME, well me and my daughter, to take her little FS on an adventure.  However, I am not sure if my niece was ready for or knew what kind of adventure I would take her little FS on, although right away I knew what kind of adventure she was gonna go on!
A TWILIGHT ADVENTURE!!!

One of the first things I did though when I got my little niece's FS was take her picture in Our Twilight Corner and give her a new Team T-shirt as well... =o)
She was looking good! And loving her Team Edward bracelet too.. ha ha
I couldn't help myself with this next pic.
NOT that this photo went to my niece's school or anything, but we had to replicate a little Breaking Dawn moment... ha ha
We have a feather pillow with a tiny hole in it and well, oopsy, some feathers just flew out all over her..ha ha
Anyhooo, the next morning we got all our Flatty's ready and took off on our Twilight Adventure for the day. Flat Edward, and Flat Chloe were safely buckled in the backseat.  Cause that's how we roll!  ha ha
Awww, don't they look cute!
We ended up taking our little Flat Chloe to the Stone Cliff Inn in Oregon City, Oregon.  Behind this restaurant  is where they shot parts of the movie Twilight.
Now I am not totally sure if my niece even knows what Twilight is all about, but I am hoping after she gets her FS back with all her adventure photo's her mommy will let her watch it; if she has not already.  =o)
Anyhooo, we made sure our little Flat Chloe stood in the same spots as where they filmed the "Loin and the Lamb" scene in Twilight, and where Edward showed Bella he "SPARKLED" liked diamonds.  Awww, who doesn't love a little sparkle now and then?  =o)
We even dangled her, I mean held her gently,  in the same spot as the scene where Edward is warning Bella about how dangerous he really is.
Where he tells her he is......
"I'm the worlds most dangerous predator. Everything about me invites you in.
My voice, my face, even my smell.  As if I would NEED any of that.
As if you could out run me.
As if you could fight me off.  I'm designed to kill".

Of course this doesn't matter to love struck Bella or any of us for that matter... ha ha  =o)  Whoop whoop, no way man LET'S ALL SPARKLE TOGETHER!!!!  HA HA
Anyway, its a beautiful spot whether you are a fan or not.  I highly recommend you stopping by if you are ever in the area.  It's very surreal, and kind of has a magical feel to it as well.  We just love it, and so did our Flat Chloe.. tee hee
When we were done at the Stone Cliff Inn we stopped off at the Carver Cafe which is across the river located in Damascus for a bite to eat.
Ha ha get it?  A bite to eat.... Ok never mind... lol
Steak and berry cobbler was not what our little Flat Chloe had in mind though.
She wanted a Spinach salad, and a chocolate shake.  =o)
We had a great time that day, and look we even found a Shiny Silver Volvo parked out front of the Cafe as well..
Wow,how more Twilight can you get then that?
I LOVE IT!

Anyway, my daughter and I had a fantastic time hanging out and taking my little niece's Flatty on a Twilight adventure. I hope she has just as much fun reading about our adventure as we had doing it for her.

Twilight aside there is nothing more special than hanging with your kids, and enjoying each others company.  I highly recommend it to everyone and anyone who has children.  They are only kids once ya know!  =o)

Our Quest for Breaking Dawn soundtrack!!!

Soooooooooooo, we still can't find the deluxe Breaking Dawn soundtrack. I know boo hoo, but in our quest to find it hopping from store to store tonight before seeing New Moon, we keep finding all kinds of items that remind us of New Moon!
Fur hats, scarfs, and a Vamp watch. Lol.
I know silly, crazy, but so much fun. I'm sure the stores thought we were skimmers though with all our running in checking for the CD and running out screaming once we found out they didn't have it! Ugh!!! Haha
However, after the movie we will be checking three more stores before giving up tonight. Twilighters if nothing else are determined! :0)

Epic Fail! 7-11 Breaking Dawn Slurpee Cups...

Had to pick up my son from a friends house tonight, and on our way home I decided we needed to hunt down the 7-11 Breaking Dawn Slurpee cups.
Yeah, it didn't happen!  Went to three 7-11's in my area and none of them had the cups, nor did they even have a clue as to what I was talking about when I asked the employee about them. Ugh, hate working with amateurs.
Yes, I was very, very sad the Slurpee cups were just cups!
Although, I did find out 7-11 now has sugar free Slurpee's, so that's good right?  Not a wasted night after all.  Shows you how long it's been sense I've set foot in a 7-11. Lol
Anyway, we may not have found any Breaking Dawn Slurpee cups tonight, but I did get a yummy sugar free Slurpee.  First one in years, and had a good time running in and out of 7-11's tonight with my son.   He is a good sport most of the time when his mommy is on a Twilight pursuit.  Oh, and yeah that's a little man's face behind me in the photo above... Ha ha   Yeah, he walked by when I was trying to get a photo of me and my Slurpee.. EPIC FAIL!    I was nice and covered his face though.. tee hee
HOLY Rice Crispy Treats!  Yeah, huge!  What do you do with a treat that big anyway??? ha ha   Great night and I hope they do sell the Breaking Dawn Slurpee cups in the USA, but I have a feeling we wont be seeing those anytime soon...  I really, really hope I am wrong though.  The sugar free one was pretty good, but I am not going back until I see the cups are in!  lol  =0)

Finding Twilight.... or close to it...

Recently some friends of mine and I went on a Twilight Adventure together to the beautiful, mysterious and ever so famous Oxbow Park.
You know, Oxbow Park right?

Its the place where they filmed the “Say it out loud” scene from Twilight  because Bella knows Edwards a vampire.  Eeeek.. Yay! We had a blast!
Source: Summit Entertainment
Oh, by the way friends who came with me that day if you are reading this... Umm, SURPRISE you went on a Twilight adventure with me! =)  As if any of you were clueless as to why I picked that spot to go hiking.  Yeah, right!  Like I had any of them fooled anyway!  Haha

I am pretty sure some of them knew what "Our Twilight Corner" was up to that day.  However, we all have a few comment bonds and that is to always try to have fun, stay fit and enjoy a beautiful day in the Pacific Northwest; so off we went.

Well we had our hiking shoes on, maps, water and friends what more could you ask for?  Well besides a Cullen popping out of the woods.  Now that would have been AMAZING!  But lets not live in dream land all the time shall we people... =0)

Anywhoo, we wonder around for a few miles and hours in the park not only seeing Twilight spots at every turn, but having a fangtastic time seeing all the things these woods have to offer.
If you get a chance you must go!  It is a fee park so make sure you check them out before going... Oxbow Park Oreogn

Well as you can see our little Olivia was honing in on her inner Vampire as soon as we came to "The Spot" where Edward said, "SAY IT OUT LOUD"!  It was awesome though and so much fun to be in this spot, this park with all my friends!

Once Olivia got started though we couldn't stop her from wanting the taste of blood... ha ha
Maybe because we still could feel the essence of Edward all around us.  Or maybe because its just fun to live in Twilight land.  Who knows, but I can tell you this it was fangtastic to roam around in the "same" woods as the Cullen's. lol   Well you know what I mean... =0)

Oh how sweet even the animals in Oxbow park have a team picked..
I wonder how he got that tattoo...   ;)
Every where we turned and on every path we saw more and more Twilight.

We even climbed up a mountain, out of a cloud bank to find even more Twilight.  Oh Look even a meadow... =0)

Yes its true at the top of this hill we hiked up we found a meadow.   Now how much more Twilight can one hike, one day truly get? ha ha

All in all, we had a blast not only finding Twilight in Our Corner of the world, but to be able to hang out and just enjoy ourselves with the friends and family we love and care for so much.  And after all isn't that one thing Twilight is all about? =0)

We hadn't even left the drive way.....

Ok, so just so you know our little Bella, AKA Olivia was in Australia for a few months, and finally made it back to the USA, Yay, but we haven't had a change to hang out and play catch up.  So a few days a go we finally decided get together and kick it Twilight style.  We just wanted to do the usual stuff Twilighters do when they hang out; eat pizza, watch Twilight movies and drool over RP and TL all day long. LOL You know, the usual stuff.
Well Olivia is good friends with Anna who runs Twili-fye on facebook and suggested that Anna come over and hang out in the Corner with us all as well so we can finally meet.  Turned out to be a Twitastic day for sure...
Anyway, Lisa from Twilighters Dream is run a Robert Pattinson birthday contest and we decided to enter the contest too, but we were lacking on idea's for some reason.  Well we decided to pack up the cutouts and hit the road.  Off to find Twilight related landmarks or something... I think we found the something more than anything... lol
We ended up hanging out on the corner of 46th and Twilight in Salem Oregon for the longest time... Ha ha   I am sure the neighbors just loved us.
I am not sure who was more excited though.... As you can see Savanna from the Corner was really happy to be here...
She took this as a sign... Hah, hah, hah....
Umm, as you can see I think something was in the air this day...Ha ha   Cause Olivia was pretty excited too... You would have thought we struck gold by finding a Twilight sign so close to home...
Anna was trying to keep her cool, but I know better now after spending the afternoon with her.. lol
If you go check out one of my other post you will know Anna likes to cut lose too; Twilight style...lol
Anna is awesome and has decided to go to Forks with us in Sept. 2011 for Stephenie Meyers days... Yay... This trip will be Epic!
After we were done malling the Twilight sign we quickly googled and found an Edward sign...
Now that's where the fun really started... Ha ha ha
This street was a little busier then the Twilight Corner and well we got lots of honks, and howlers for sure..
I bet we could have made some money if we had a sign that said, "Will work for Twilight." lol
Now once we got back in the car to head home this is where the real fun started... Yep, when we got back in the car.  Can you believe that?
You will see when you watch the video below..
Oh, man we hadn't even left the drive way where we were parked, and the Twilighters were losing it... I told the girls we needed a dash cam, so I turned on my camera and well... Yeah, you'll see...

I kid you not if we had this much fun in a few hours right in our own back yard I can only imagine what five Twilight fans driving to Forks this fall will be like.  It will be so much fun. Can't wait!
I am soooo getting a dash cam by then though so we can document that adventure for sure... =)
