Twilight Style Wedding in Forks, Washington

Every September my TwiBFF's and I travel to Forks, Washington for our annual girls getaway weekend. A pilgrimage so to speak or a Twilgrimage as we like to call it.   If you have never gone you need to go! Anytime and any month is great!

We go in order to relax, see friends and celebrate Stephenie Meyer Days with a few hundred other TwiFans as well.. I am not ashamed of this fact at all.. I love my TwiSisters and we all have a wonderful time.

In fact one year we got to meet the Queen of Sparkle herself and it was a ACA-AMAZING!
Great lady! We even got to roast marshmallows with her on La Push beach.. #TrueStory
We ALWAYS have a blast!
And I am sure if you ask Twiligihters DreamSparklylicious Cosplay and Pure Twilight as well, my TwiBFF's, they would also say there is NEVER a dull moment.. ;)

Well this last SMD a few of us TwiFans had the honor of bearing witness to a couple who were in the right spot at the right time when they decided to renewal their wedding vows to each other, and I just happened to be one of those lucky Twi-witnesses.

I love photography, and I am usually packin, so I had to snap a few pic's of this amazingly and aromatic event.
Awwwwwwww, they are just too cute! <3
The couple renewed their wedding vows on the property of The Cabins At Beaver Creek, (check them out they are GREAT! Love you both Big John and Michelle!)

Annnd that very same night on the very same property there was going to be a Twilight celebration as well. With costumers and everything!
Soooo what couple in love wouldn't want a few member's of a Twilight coven in their renewal wedding, right?!?.. I know I would!

Not sure how it all REALLY came about, but I also don't care.. I had fun and I know a few more TwiPeeps who did so as well!
Yes we had a DJ and sparkly lights too!  lol

However seeing these two love birds renewal their commitment, faith and love to each other was such a wonderful experience no words could express how I felt being a part of it all..

So I did what any SPARKLY, amazingly wonderful and kindhearted Twilighter would do..
I made them a wedding video!

Hope you all enjoy it too..
If you are not able to view this video here then check it out on my YouTube page: Our Twilight Corner or on my facebook page: Our Twilight Corner..

Please make sure you leave me a comment below.. Would love to know your thoughts!!

Thanks for playin in my "Corner" of the world too...

St Marcus Day Festival Party Rockers

Well what can I say about the St. Marcus Day festival party which was held in Forks, Washington during Stephenie Meyer Days 2011?  Well only one word...................

                                EPIC!!!!  =0)

No really each minuet we had in Forks was EPIC, and if you can I highly suggest, some day, you go and visit this town and surrounding area for yourselves; in order to experience it's wonderful people and charm.

We had such a fantastic time its to hard to explain everything we saw, did and experienced.

However, the party that was put on by Leppell's was without a doubt the, -well just watch this little video I put together for you.  You'll see it was great!

Can't wait to go back again next year!  =0)  Enjoy and thanks for watching!

More photos of the party are on our facebook page: Our Twilight Corners

Breaking Dawn Bella ~ Stephenie Meyer Days 2011 Costume Contest ~ EPIC

Our second day in Forks was not without even more fun and excitement to say the least.  One of the events offered during Stephenie Meyer Days was a costume contest that anyone and everyone could have entered and of course my Corner gals did just that.
Left to right: Lisa, Olivia and Savanna
My little Savanna was cafeteria Rosalie and Olivia was Breaking Dawn Bella.  They looked amazing and what was even more incredible was the fact that Savanna took first place, and Olivia took second.  EPIC!  Yay to Our Corner of the World!!!
I have to say though, everyone who entered the contest looked so unbelievable and it was fantastic to see so many people show up and come out as a characters from one of the Twilight movies.  Personally, I would like to see more of you dress up and enter next year! =0)
However, whats even more surprising, and I wish I had more pictures of Olivia dressed up as Breaking Dawn Bella to show you, but unless you have been living under a rock and have not seen the second trailer, Olivia did a shockingly great job dressing up as Bella the night after her wedding night to Edward.  lol
Our Corner Bella looks pretty close to Summits Bella if you as me!
Summits Bella
Oh no, lots of feathers. lol
Well at least our hotels headboard is in one piece because we did not leave the room feather free that's for sure.  Sorry Forks Motel!  We didn't leave much of anything feather free.  We had feathers everywhere after we were finished getting Olivia ready for the contest.  From her hair, to ours, and the floor we had them practically scattered all over Forks, but it was worth it because it was all for the love of Twilight fun!
Our Corner Bella was so good even Aro couldn't read her mind either. He tired and he even tried to sick Jane on her, but nothing worked.  Oh and lets not forget the Groom.
Yes, Edward might have been tight lipped about the Wedding night, but by the look on his face I  think its pretty clear he too enjoyed himself... HA HA

The whole day was fun and this costume contest was just the tip of the iceberg for us because we still had lots of shopping to do and the St. Marcus Day festival party as well.  =0)  Another EPIC time of our Twi-lives.

If you want to see more photo check out our facebook page: Our Twilight Corner and I have some video uploaded as well... =0)

Oh sorry for all the screaming, but I got soooooooo excited! lol
And the Winner is..... Yay Savanna!
Savanna looked so good!
Olivia Rocked Breaking Dawn Bella!
Lisa was too cute!
James the Tracker looked pretty good too!

Welcome to Forks!

We made it!

Pulling into Fork and seeing that sign was beyond fantastic.
Mainly because it was Lisa's dream to go to Forks and it felt good knowing I helped that dream come true.  =0)
Plus it also meant we could finally stop driving, get out of the truck for a while and start to enjoy Forks and Stephenie Meyer Days!
The Chamber of Commerce is a cool little first stop, and the people who work there are so fun!
Oh Yeah had to get pic's of Bella's truck... I think that truck has been photographed more then a super model don'tcha know... lol
However, we did not stay in Forks for long..... I know how funny is that. We ran off to La Push for an afternoon of fun in the sun at the beach... Yeah right!  It was booty cold there.. ha ha Duh!

Not enough Starbucks on Hwy 101 North to Forks

Day two of our travels to Forks Washington in order to experience Stephenie Meyer Days was not without a ton of coffee; no it was not without heaps, loads, and oodles of this liquid oomph mover!  We had five women, no we had five Twifans, in a small hotel room and we were all too excited to sleep.  Need I say more?  I think I knocked off around 1:30 am, but my mind and bladder decided to wake up at 3:30am and I could not go back to sleep. Ugh.
Oh word to the wise, pack your own coffee press, if you are a java junkie, when traveling to Forks because once you leave Aberdeen Washington there is not another Starbucks or Dutch Brothers for miles!  MILES!

Oh, another word of caution, if you are addicted to jitter juice, make sure you use the powder room as well, before leaving Aberdeen, because when the nectar of the Gods kicks in there are noooooooooo good stopping grounds along the way... Unless you enjoy being stared at by the local wild life, and that wild life might not always walk on four legs. Just sayin is all..  o.0

Anyway, our trip was filled with a number of awww moments, but one place you must stop at on your way to Forks, headed north on Hwy 101, is the Big Ceder Tree.  Yes a tree.  Don't go there its a cool tree!  =0)
This tree is a few miles before you reach Forks and its one of the coolest trees I have ever seen, and trust me I love trees and have seen a few very cool trees.  LOL   Anyway, this might not be Epic in your world, but if you like nature and ever get a chance to travel to Forks then make sure you stop at the BIG CEDER TREE.
Savanna and Olivia look so tiny next to this tree
It was at this tree we really started to feel ourselves get our SPARKLE on for Forks.  We knew we were close and since we were in the woods it was hard not to act a little TwiCarzy.  lol
Anna from Twili-fye
Anna from Twili-fye thought she was a Spider-Monkey and Savanna and Olivia tried to sparkle in the sun.  Tee hee
Savanna is trying to sparkle...
Savanna kept saying, "Sparkle dang it sparkle, but it wasn't working.  lol
Olivia thought they sparkled there for a minuet.
Olivia was just so happy to be away from reality, and on a girls Twi-weekend that she couldn't stop hugging everyone.  =0)  It was a very sweet trip to say the least..

Unfortunately, this is what happens when you don't get to Forks before your morning thunder wears off... lol

My Review of Stephenie Meyer Days 2011

I have no words to truly describe how FANTASTIC Stephenie Meyer Days 2011 was this last weekend in Forks, Washington.  Words cannot explain how much I enjoyed the festivities they offered all of us!

We made it!
You see there is just soooo much to see and do I am not sure if I can fully describe to you how freaking fun this all was for me and my group of friends.  We all had a wonderful, fantastic, and amazing time in Forks!!!

If I had to sum it all up in one word it would be EPIC.  Yes totally cliche I know, but this trip was completely EPIC and I would do it all over again in a heart beat!

Forks was wonderful and it was fantastic meeting a lot of the residents who live, work and help to put this event together!  There was one person in Forks who really made a great impression on me and my group and her name is Whitney Stephens-Flagg.  Whitney is a wonderful Forks resident who played phone tag with me, and I am sure tons of others as well who were all trying to buy tickets, cloaks and get the inside scoop on all the events taking place in Forks.
Yay its Whitney Meyer
The first thing I thought of when I saw and met Whitney, who is this super sweet event planner from Leppell's, is that she looks a lot like Stephenie Meyer.  Well I wasn't the only one who thought this and Whitney told me the other day that she will get to play SM herself in next years SMD's 2012! YAY!!! I sure hope I get to see Whitney play this part next year because you ROCK girl! =0)

I will defintaly say this if you have not gone to Forks for SMD's then YOU NEED TOO!!!! Heck, just go to Forks no matter when or why!!!  Its a great little town with amazing people and its a must see!
We all look so cute in front of Bella's Truck
Anyway, what made this trip completely EPIC for me was the fact that my TwiBFF Lisa, who I had never met before, came all the way from Florida to live out her Twilighters Dream by going to Forks with me, and my Corner ladies.  Well I am sure we were not part of that dream to begain with, but we helped make it all happen for her that's for sure.
Lisa looks ready to fly for the Pacific Northwest to me!
After we picked Lisa up from PDX, on Thursday evening, we headed off to Centralia, Washington which was our first resting spot for the night.  Usually, SMD's does not start until Friday, but I like to get a head start on things.  Plus this way we can stop in Kalama, WA along the way to see the "Forks" High school as well.
Its all of us in front of the school.. Yay...
Anna, Savanna, Lisa, Olivia and ME!

Lisa was ready to run into the wood and
have Edward, "Say it Out loud".... lol
It was totally cute to see Lisa's face when she got to the High School that was used in the Twilight movie.  We had already planned to see some of the filming locations after we came back from Forks, but this spot is right off of I-5 so it was a must right away!
Anna was ready for sure!
Some of us have been to the High School in Kalama before, but Lisa of course, and Anna from Twili-fye who was also with the Corner Crew heading to Forks had not see this before, "Newborns," so they were just tickled pink and thirsty for more once we got there...=0)
We won, we won! =0)
Our first night in Forks and one of the events that was taking place was Bella's bridal shower which was being hosted by Alice, of course, at Alice's Closet. Our group took 1st place in the toilet paper wedding dress contest! Such a fun night!
Angie from Pure Twilight is on the right.. Yay!

Also, we met up with Angie from Pure Twilight in Forks as well, and Vamped it up a bit not only with her,but her mom and her sister too. Look we had Twilight beer in Forks.... Ha ha I love it!!! It was once again amazing to meet them all!
And 1st place goes to..... Our Twilight Corner!
The costume contest was freakin amazing.  Everyone who dressed up looked soooo good.  Our little Savanna, who is on the right, took the grand prize for being cafeteria Rosalie in the costume contest which was held on Saturday. She was so sure she wasn't gonna win, and just entered for the fun of it, that when they called her name she just stood there.. It was classic and fun.  Whoop Whoop!

Olivia took 2nd place!!! Yay!
Aro was trying to read Olivia's mind who was dressed up as Breaking Dawn Bella for the costume contest.  It was awesome that Our Corner gals won something at SMD's.
Jacqueline and her daughter found Olivia from Our Twilight Corner in Forks
Then just when you think it cannot get any better we actually met some of our page fans in Forks as well... WOW!   =0)  Above is a pic of Jacqueline and her daughter who were the cutest things ever!  Two very sweet people and unfortunately they did not get a hotel room in Forks so they had to drive the 57 miles one way between Port Angeles, and Forks every day they were there in order to participate in all the events.  Such great Twilight fans!
Oh no Savanna Edward is
eyeballing your neck!
The St. Marcus Day Festival was another EPIC event you all will just have to check out for yourself and pray I can get the video's uploaded before Christmas.  LOL  =0)
Yay its Hilly and Hannah!
Yep, we even ran into Hilly and Hannah from The HillyWood Show.  Not only did we get our pictures take with them, but we got them to sign our Twilight book... Yay!  BEST TRIP EVER!!!
The look-a-likes were fangtastic!
The look-a-likes who came to Forks for SMD's were awesome!  I know they are not the "real" Twilight cast members however, I do hope they all come back next year because I am soooo getting their autographs!  They were fun, friendly and very gracious to us all!  Our little corner cannot get over how much Alan Mitchell looks like "Edward."  Tall, dark and yummy!  Tee hee
We are all team Alan now for sure... =)  (Don't worry we know he is taken!)  Its all for the fun of Twilight ya know! That's a team none of us can deny we are all on when you participate in an event such as this one!

So you see it was EPIC, truly EPIC, and I will be counting down the days until next years SMD's 2012 which will happens on the14th-16th of September!!! =)

There are more pictures posted on our facebook page, Our Twilight Corner, and I will try to get our video's on my YouTube site as soon as possible too.  OurTwilightCorner

Twilighers Dream come true and then some...

As I acknowledged in my other blog, "If you Sparkle they will come", we are getting ready to invade Forks, Washington in order to enjoy all the activities they have taking place during Stephenie Meyer Days (SMD's).  If you haven't already read the blog I mentioned at the beginning of this one, may I suggest you do so in order for this all to be a little less cloudy for you.
Anyway, SMD's happens, but once a year and it's defiantly a Twilighters dream event which is the perfect setting for a girls weekend get-a-way.  In other words, its wonderful because we get to be completely and utterly uninhibited Twilight Fans with no one making fun of us, or calling us names.  There will be NO haters there to ridicule our love for Twilight.  It's completely perfect so how can this girls weekend get-a-way in Forks during SMD's get any better then it's already cracking up to be?  Well I will tell you how it will get better then it already seems to be because for some of us the countdown to Forks isn't just any old trip; its a Dream come true!
You see us Corner gals are especially, super duper, excited to head off on our Forkspedtion because not only do we get to travel to Forks together, hang out, and take part in SMD's, but we FINALLY get to meet Lisa, from Twilighters Dream.  Its hard to say, thinking back now, how Lisa and I become friends from such long distances because I or we live in Oregon and she lives in Florida, but we found each other nonetheless.  We found each other through our love for Twilight and that's all that really matters.
Look its Lisa!! Yay!!!
Yep, that's right, Lisa and I have never actually meet face to face however our friendship feels like it's been a life time in the making.  In other words, its like we have known each other all our lives and have some sort of strange Twi-kinship  linking  us together.   Kind of like twins separated at birth.  Only our Twin connection is our Twi-connection.  Oh I know, no creepiness there eh with that statement eh?!.. Ha ha
Don't worry, we have heard it all from our friends and family and  we don't care.  To us its no different then on line dating to some degree.  We meet on line and now we are friends with or without Twilight!  Simple as that.
Our Twi-connection has only grow stronger over the last few month because we have spent hours chit chatting on the phone, sent thousands of text messages, along with oodles of emails, heaps of pictures, Skyped during parties, oh and of course let's not forget to mention, a number of late nights Facebooking sessions until dawn; in order for Lisa and I to get to know each other better.  Heck, in order for Lisa to get to get to know all Our Corner ladies better and more, for that matter.

See Lisa joined us via Skype for my Birthday party.
However, Lisa and I have been the main two players in all these texts, phone calls, and e-mails, and feel we are now each others TWI-BFF's for all eternity; bonded even greater as friends because of our twi-secrets we have shared with one another.  In reality our friendship has only been for a few months, however for some strange, interesting and fantastic reason we have become, I guess you could say, sisters at heart.  =0)

With that being said it was effortless for me to invite Lisa to Oregon so she could travel with us to Forks for SMD's.  Just like all Twilighters, its been a dream of Lisa's to visit Forks ever since she first laid eyes on Edward Cullen.  From the first time she wrapped herself  between the sparkly pages of the Twilight Saga, in order to partially live in that Twiworld we all know and love.  Basically, I couldn't think of a better time or place for Lisa to come visit.  I mean how could we not meet in person and hang out?  We already had Twilight complementing our friendship and solidifying us to be TWI-BFF's forever.  Therefore on 9.8.2011 we will be picking Lisa up from PDX and racing off to Forks in order to hang out, go Twicrazy together, and enjoy all the epic fun ness that SMD's has to offer a group of fan like us.
However, hold on a seceond, there's more!  Yes, it gets even better in our Corner of the world.  How you might ask?  How can things get any more fantastic then my TWI-BFF flying in from Florida and we all headin to Forks?  Well the other amazing thing about this weekend trip isn't just the fact that Lisa will be with us along for the ride, but Anna from Twili-fye who is just a hop and skip to the east of me in Silverton, Oregon will also be going to Forks with us!  Plus, yeah- plus, YES there ismore!!!  We also get to meet Angie from Pure Twilight who lives in Moses Lake, Washington.  Eeeeeeeeeeek, I know this is exciting, thrilling, and exhilarating stuff...Eeeeeeeeeeeek, fun time big time!!!!!
Plus, OH YEAH - there's even more!  I know I can't stand it all....  BUT letsTwifans who share the same passion and love for all things Twilight!  I am so excited its hard to contain myself.  Another, Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek, *jumping up and down* full of excitement over the thought of all this Epic-ness taking place in one weekend and  in one Sparkly wonderful little town, named FORKS!
So you see this is not just a trip of life time for Lisa, but an adventure of a life time for all of us as well.  I am sure anyone and everyone who have gone to Forks or who are going to Forks feels the same way.  How could you not?  I mean Savanna, Olivia and I have all gone to Forks, La Push and Port Angeles before, but never during SMD's and never all together with so many other amazing, wonderful people who are like us, who are like "our kind".   =0)  Yay!!!!
However, just between you and I, I'm secretly hoping this will turn into a yearly tradition for me and my Corner of the world, but we'll see...  Because life always has a way of throwing a curve ball at ya.  There's always something new and exciting waiting for each and everyone of us, and at any given moment, and without warning our paths can take a new direction, a new turn.  So I have no problem starting a count down to Forks 2012 now, just in case because life is just too dark short NOT to get your SPARKLE on every chance you get!
