I need an Alice Cullen!

With the New year about to start I have been thinking about resolutions lately however, lets face it no one keeps them.  I pretty much stopped making them years ago simply because I never did keep them past the first week of January myself.
I soooo wish I had an Alice Cullen in my life to either do things for me or make things simpler if nothing else.
*SIGH*, but lets get real here.  It's ME, and only ME who will make things happen for myself.
Sadly Alice is only in a book.... A very awesome book, but still in a book nonetheless. ;(
Although, a little help now, and then would be nice for all of us wouldn't it?   So when I found this FANTASTIC little site the other day, it gave me hope that I could make 2012 a little less messy, and chaotic for myself.  Well that's the idea at least.

I have decided to call it "My goals" instead of My resolutions for 2012.
Maybe word trickery would help me stay on task a little more as well who knows.

Anyway, you all must check out MySimplerLife.

MySimplerLife
They have this wonderful Declutter and Organize Calender that I LOVE! (I know hard to see on my site, but check them out. Much simplier. Hah, hah, hah)
They have one for every month of the year, and each day it gives you a simple task to do to declutter your life.
PERFECT!
I love this because every time I sit down to write myself a honey do list I can never really quite remember everything I need to do.  Yeah, right.  More like selective memories to me, but ya know....

Anyway, now I don't have to remember or write a list.  They did it for me.  Oh, and trust me when I looked at the calender it pretty much can and does all apply to what I can and should be doing in my own home.  So I bet it will work for you too.

This site is my own personal little Alice Cullen, and for that I thank them.  Well maybe I will thank them more this same time next year.  Hmm, will see now wont we?  =o)
Anywhoooo, with there help I am hoping to tackle this mess you see here on my bed.  These four books are all my address books from over the last 20 years.  May not seem like much to you, but they really do need to be condensed into one.
No more CLUTTER!
Now I know we have modern technology to help keep our digits and addresses in tack, but when those things fail us, get lost or stolen what are you left with?  Just a bunch of people standing around saying, "Umm, I don't know my mom's number she was speed dial number 6."  Yep, when it all fails us we are simply left with good old fashion paper.

So declutter job number one for 2012 is to get ONE address book that has everyone and everything in it and chuck the rest.  Besides I am sure there is some updating to be done with the way my friends move around these days.
I may not have an Alice Cullen to get my booty in gear, but I know I can "take control" because "I am a strong independent woman" who can tackle anything I set my mind to!
Alice had the vision,so this is how I know.... ;o)

(Well, here's my theater experience with my twi-sisters here in Philippines. It really took a lot of time for preparations. Haha. Some of us, including me missed school for this. HAHA. Then, we waited for almost 2 hours in the line. And we were really nervous when the line start moving and went straight to the red carpet and to the cinema. We were the 2nd group in the first line. :) It was so awesome. The movie was worth the wait. ♥ It was also nice, because it's our first time to see each other, cause we met on fb bec. of twilight. so sweet. and we had fun. ♥♥♥)
Celine here is what you won! A Vampire's Fiancee T-Shirt!  Yay!

My Awesome Twilight Christmas Treasures

I hope everyone had a amazingly, wonderful, and healthy Christmas this year!  I feel very blessed everyday, not just on Christmas, to have my health, what it may be, and my family with me as well.  However, any day you get presents from the ones you love is always extra special for sure.  I love random acts of Twilight, and I scored big time this year, and just wanted to share them with you all.
Oh, and speaking of score look what my honey got me.  The Breaking Dawn Score, and it's lovely!  I listened to it, and can totally picture the whole movie in my minds Twi-Eye.  =0)  Yes, get it if you are wondering.  I highly recommend it.
This photo I am holding is my very favorite TwiChristmas gift for sure.  Savanna, my wonderful daughter, got me film cells from the movie Twilight.  LOVE IT!
It's hard to see, but I have the one where Bella is sitting on her bed, and Edward came in and wanted to "try something",Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek, I know.. Best part of the movie... I also got the kitchen scene where Edward was introducing Bella to his family.  EEEEEKKK, again!  I can't wait to frame this, and hang it in my soon to be Twilight Room!  =0)
Oh, and this is fantastic too.  I finally have a Twilight cell phone cover as well.. Thanks to Ebay I am finding Twilight items left and right.  Gonna go broke doing it,but finding very cool Twi-stuff.  My town is Twi-dry of Twilight treasure, so I need Ebay, Amazon and Grieg's List.. ha ha
This was probably one of the most creative, and amazing gift I received this Christmas from my hubby thus far.  Not only did my hubby of 20 years this Christmas Eve get me an Ipad 2, but he put this skin on the back of it that he had custom made.  I know pretty stinkin amazing isn't it?  I give him huge kudos's for doing this because he is pretty much a Team Alice kind of man, but for the most part he is pretty anit-Twilight overall.  He rolls his eyes every chance he gets when the subject of Twilight comes up, so for him to go this far was pretty fabulous!  I love it. =0)
This baseball was in my stocking, and filled with gum, but yeppers, it made it's way in to Our Twilight Corner!  How could it not.  I mean what do you think of when you see a baseball, hear thunder or catch a glance of a game?
I'm not sure if there isn't a moment of the day that goes by where Twilight doesn't pop in, and giving me a lovely Twi-thought; if only for a second or two.  Although, that's all I need to lift my spirits, and refresh my thinking.  *Sigh* Twilight.... What a perfect way to end a awesome Christmas with my family.

Cheryls Creative Blocks on Etsy

I recently found this great little Twilight light on Etsy, and not only had to get one for myself, but had to send my TWI-BFF one for Christmas as well!  I thinks she loved it, but you might want to check her page, Twilighters Dream to see.  =o)
They are very cute and affordable and I have to say thanks to CherylsCreativeBlocks on Etsy  because she not only mailed it to my TWI-BFF, but she gift wrapped it for me too.  She was very nice to work with even though she was in Florida, and I was in Oregon she helped me out with all my questions and wrapping needs.  Please check out her page if you would like one for yourself as well!  =0)   They are FABULOUS!
This is the one I sent my TWI-BFF, Lisa!!! =0)

Big Thanks to some of our TwiSisters!

We can't believe some of the wonderful gifts we received this Christmas.  I have to say we are truly blessed, and very thankful in more ways than one.... Some of the best gifts we received were from our TwiSister pages, who about a month ago decided to do a gift exchange for Christmas.  It could be handmade, store bought and Twi-related or not.  It didn't matter as long as it was sent with love.  Let me shout out a very BIG THANKS to all of you who sent us gifts!  We had a blast opening them on Christmas morning!  =0)
Jamie who created The TwiHard Diet page had Savanna from Our Twilight Corner, and she LOVES, just LOVES, all her gifts!  Thank you Jamie.  You are too creative for words!  Jamie did an awesome job making her a "I run with Wolves" picture, and a beautiful handmade ornament with Savanna's name on it.  Jamie Thank you so much it was completely over the top!!!  =0)
Victoria who created Team Kellmett had me for our gift exchange.  Haaaay, I am Lynn creator of Our Twilight Corner, and she nailed it spot on for me!  Victoria sent me a Breaking Dawn part 1 cup, bookmaker from the Dallas Twilight convention she went to, and one of her handmade apples with my name on it!  Whoop whoop, LOVE IT!!!
Thank you soooooooooooo much Victoria!!!!  We were jumping up and down, like little kids, big time over the thoughtfulness you all put into our gifts!  Thanks again!   Its all going in Our Twilight Corner for sure.  We my gifts are.  I am not sure where Savanna put hers, but she wont let me touch them.. lol
One the best surprise we received was from Lisa my TWI-BFF who created Twilighters Dream page.  She sent Savanna, and I some AWESOME booty slippers, and can I just say our feet have never been more "Toasty Warm" in all our lives!
I say it was a surprise because Lisa has spoiled us throughout the year as it is, by sending us gifts from out of the blue, so we never expected to receive a thing.  Finding her and enjoying her friendship, her TwiFriendship, is enough for us.
Its been FANTASTIC finding all our TwiFriends!  Such a heart warming and defiantly an interesting, exciting and unexpected experience that no words could ever express how we feel about them all.

Thank you ladies for your friendship you have made our Christmas very special!

If it's not on facebook it must be true???

So I have a funny story to share with you all…

There is a coffee shop/restaurant across from where I work, and if I leave my window open to the office I can hear the employees of the coffee shop talking, chatting and breaking things on a regular bases.

Ok, so today I hear this…

Customer: Hey, I’ll take a caramel macchiato, decafe, extra foam – skinny…
Employee: Skinny?
Customer: Yeah why?
Employee: Aren’t you pregnant?
Customer: *GASP* NO, why would you think that?
Employee: I totally thought you were pregnant because of “this” guys facebook status.

{HA HA HA}... Now why on earth would anyone just out right say, “Aren’t you pregnant?” to another person?  Especially, if it’s something you read off of another person’s facebook status…OH MY GAWD, is all I want to say!  That’s horrid…
Some people need to learn that unless a woman is holding a baby in her arms one should never assume a woman is pregnant or has ever given birth for that matter.  And you best make sure it’s her baby she is holding before saying a word to her.  You just don’t go there. No way. Not cool!

What’s funny about this story, and more to the point of what I am trying to say; we have this huge electronic reader board near the freeway where we live that states,  “The end is near.”
Both my kids and I have caught sight of this sign a few times, but the last time we drove by my son laughed and chuckled out loud, knowing we all saw the sign again, “But it’s not even 2012 yet?”
My oldest with a very serious look on her face pops off with, “Yeah and I have not even read that on facebook either.” {Lots of laughter from all of us}

So the moral of my stories must be:  If it’s not a status update on facebook then it must not be true, it must not be happening, or its not gonna happen??!  {Hah, hah, hah}

Really people? Really!? What is the world coming too? ;/

Hero at the Grocery Store BY STEPHENIE MEYER

This story is written by Stephenie Meyer and has a wonderful meaning to it.  The road of life is long and hard for all of us, so please whether you believe in God or not let's not forget the poor and vulnerable not only this time of year, but all year long!   Take a breath and try to be kind to all we meet because we all might just be having one of those days.  Enjoy the story and Merry Christmas to you all!

Suddenly everyone was quiet. Even my rowdy children paused, feeling the change in the atmosphere.

Christmas stories happen in the most everyday places. I was part of one not long ago at the grocery store. I hope I never forget it, though the memory is bittersweet.

I had been shopping for almost an hour by the time I got to the checkout lines. My two youngest sons were with me, the four-year-old refusing to hold onto the cart, the two-year-old trying to climb out of the basket and jump down to play with his brother. Both got progressively whinier and louder as I tried to keep them under control, so I was looking for the fastest lane possible. I had two choices. In the first line were three customers, and they all had just a few purchases. In the second line was only one man, a harried young father with his own crying baby, but his cart was overflowing with groceries.

I quickly looked over the three-person line again. The woman in the front was very elderly, white haired and rail thin, and her hands were shaking as she tried unsuccessfully to unlatch her big purse. In the other line, the young father was throwing his food onto the conveyor belt with superhuman speed. I got in line behind him.

It was the right choice. I was able to start unloading my groceries before the elderly woman was even finished paying. My four-year-old was pulling candy from the shelf, and my little one was trying to help by lobbing cans of soup at me. I felt I couldn’t get out of the store fast enough.

And then, over the sound of the store’s cheery holiday music, I heard the checker in the other line talking loudly, too loudly. I glanced over as my hands kept working.

“No, I’m sorry,” the checker was almost shouting at the old woman, who didn’t seem to understand. “That card won’t work. You are past your limit. Do you have another way to pay?” The tiny old woman blinked at the checker with a confused expression. Not only were her hands shaking now, but her shoulders too. The teenage bagger rolled her eyes and sighed.

As I caught a soup can just before it hit my face, I thought to myself: “Boy, did I choose the right line! Those three are going to be there forever.” My mood was positively smug as my checker began scanning my food.

But the smiling woman directly in line behind the elderly lady had a different reaction. Quietly, with no fanfare, she moved to the older woman’s side and ran her own credit card through the reader.

“Merry Christmas,” she said softly, still smiling.

And then everyone was quiet. Even my rowdy children paused, feeling the change in the atmosphere.

It took a minute for the older woman to understand what had happened. The checker, her face thoughtful, hesitated with the receipt in her hand, not sure whom to give it to. The smiling woman took it and tucked it into the elderly woman’s bag.

“I can’t accept …” the older woman began to protest, with tears forming in her eyes.

The smiling woman interrupted her. “I can afford to do it. What I can’t afford is not to do it.”

“Let me help you out,” the suddenly respectful bagger insisted, taking the basket and also taking the old woman’s arm, the way she might have helped her own grandmother.

I watched the checker in my line pause before she pressed the total key to dab at the corner of her eyes with a tissue.

Paying for my groceries and gathering my children, I made it out of the store before the smiling woman. I had made the right choice of lanes, it seemed.

But as I walked out into the bright December sunshine, I was not thinking about my luck but about what I could not afford.

I could not afford my current, self-absorbed frame of mind.

I could not afford to have my children learn lessons of compassion only from strangers.

I could not afford to be so distant from the spirit of Christ at any time of the year—especially during this great season of giving.

I could not afford to let another stranger, another brother or sister, cross my path in need of help without doing something about it.

And that is why I hope never to forget the Christmas hero in the grocery store. The next time I have a chance to be that kind of a hero, I can’t afford to miss it.

Warm and Toasty

OHMYGOSH, I love them!
Look what my sister sent me!!!!    Warm and toasty is what I am talkin about!  My hands are always freezing when I am playing cards or blogging.  These are the prefect gift, so cozy warm, soft and she hand made them too!  =0)
They look FANTASTIC in Our Twilight Corner too!
However, if Savanna thinks she gets to keep them she is out of luck!  They are mine!
Thanks big sis!  We love them!

22 days! Whoop whoop

"Who gives an island as a gift?  I frowned. I hadn’t realized Edward’s extreme generosity was a learned behavior."

1 week until Breaking Dawn!!! OME!

I cannot believe we only have 1 week, 7 days,  until we FINALLY GET TO SEE BREAKING DAWN part 1!   *BIG SIGH*   All I can say is,"It's about damn time!"  =0)

I've never seen a newborn do that – stop an emotion in its tracks that way. You were upset, but when you saw our concern, you reined it in, regained power over yourself. I was prepared to help, but you didn’t need it.

Do you have a TWIBFF?

If you don't have a TwiBFF I hope, if you love Twilight as much as we do, you find one someday.  My TwiBFF is Lisa from Twilighters Dream, and I just adore her!  It's awesome to find someone who loves and sparkles about Twilight as much as we do.
Photos from our Twilight movie tour in 9.2011
Lisa came to Oregon this last September to visit us while we all traveled to Forks for Stephenie Meyer Days 2011.  Kind of scary considering we both had never met each other before then, but sometimes you just have to trust people will be who they say they are and that's what we both did... We trusted each other.
Plus we had lots of late night phone calls because you see Lisa lives in Florida.  Yeah, she was a long ways from home for sure, but it was great and we had such a blast.  I am pretty sure this is a friendship that will not fade fast sense it was built with sparkle power to begin with.  ha ha
What's in the box Lisa?  ha ha
Anyway, there are many great things about Lisa, but the one thing she does, and does well is spoil us!  Now we love her for more than her gifts, but a few days before Breaking Dawn part 1 came out Lisa sent us a sparkle package filled with all kinds of goodies, and it really did make our day!
Yay, love presents!
Savanna was the first one to open the packages, and we both were saying out loud to each other, "Oh Lisa you should NOT have done this!"  No really, we said that over and over again even before we had see what she sent.  Actually, we didn't need to see what she sent.  It was a gift and any gift in my book is wonderful!
Lisa's little note said, "Something old and something new for the Corner."  After reading this we started to jump up, and down like a couple of kids on Christmas morning because knowing that Breaking Dawn part one was only a few days away we had an idea of what was in the box, and we were right!  Well right about one thing that is.  =0)
Bella's hair comb ROCKS!
Lisa sent us Bella's hair comb, and it truly is fantastic.  Lisa said it was one of the best items Summit came out with and she was right.  We love it!  Thanks again so much Lisa its completely over the top and out rages just like you!  =0)
Look at all our goodies!
Lisa thinks of everything.  She might want to be Bella, but she is sooo an Alice for sure!  She even personalized handmade cards for both me and Savanna!  Complete with pictures and a wonderful note to each of us... Such wonderful manners you have Lisa.  Your mother must be proud!  tee hee  We even got Twilight hair brushes and sparkle spray!   Oh, and how we love our sparkle spray!  No Twilighter is complete without your sparkle spray.  I wear this stuff or something like it to work every day.  LOVE IT!  Life is so much brighter, and you can be a much happier person when you know you are SPARKLING!  =0)
This photo is the best!
The NECA Twilight Cullen Crest picture frame was the second best thing we received along with the official invitation to Bella and Edwards wedding. HOLLA!
The picture frame we had never seen before, and we adore it!  The invitation was one of the items I hadn't yet picked up for Our Twilight Corner and Lisa's gift was just what OTC needed for sure!
Thanks Lisa we love it all and you too! =0)
All we can say Lisa is Thank You!  You are a gem, and we feel very blessed to have met you, and have you in our lives.
I hope every Twilighter can find a TwiBFF to share their love for Twilight, and all things sparkly with someday as well.
Just so you know we now have Edward and Bella's photo on our mantel right next to Jacob Blacks graduation picture.  Tee hee   =0)
Although, our friendship would be even more PERFECT ya know if we didn't have to  live so stinkin far away from each other.  :/
However, I am sure our families are thankful we do not.  Oh the Twiadventures we would go on.  Well don't worry we only have 271 days to go before we are together again my friend.
Look out Forks we are coming back!

Twilight Christmas Tree

We finally got our Twilight Christmas tree up and sparkling this year!
It was soo much fun to do this type of tree with my daughter, and to finally be able to show off our love for Twilight in this perfectly sparkly way.
Our TwiTree was a bit naked at first, but the spark hit us fast and soon we had it all decorated and ready to shine!
Pocket Edward is a perfect tee topper for any Twilight Christmas Tree too.  I mean duh, it's Edward.   lol  =0)
We plan on adding to our Twitree as we find more ornaments that give us that Sparkly Twilight feeling, but for now its wonderful!
We even put feathers inside this heart shaped ornament to remind us of, well you know what feathers remind us all of now?... ha ha   =0)
These two ornaments below are my favorite though...
The Forks sign with Bella's truck above, and the one from La Push showing the dream catcher and Jacob's motorcycle below because we purchased them this last September when we went to Forks for Stephenie Meyer Days 2011 with my TwiBFF Lisa.  Lisa runs Twilighters Dream page and she flew all the way up here from Florida!
These two ornaments remind me of memories that will last me a life time or at least until we go back for Stephenie Meyer Days 2012 next year!  =0)

Twilight Moment ~ Paper Cut!

Sadly, Savanna my daughter got a small cut on her finger while at Target last week, yes I know how convenient, so we decided to head on over and buy a box of band-aids.
Of course we made Jasper and Bella jokes as we walked to that part of the store, but what caught my eye was this little tiny box that said, "Help, I've cut myself."
Now how cute is that?  Oh yes, the Jasper jokes started to fly then for sure....
However, look at this little thing.  It's perfect for anyone, but fangtastic for us Twilighters!
Soooo in other words, no "Bella" should be without these just in case you need to keep from making Jasper crazy, and want to kill you all the time... ha ha

Twilight Naked Twister!

Who would love to play?  I know this is naughty, but do I really need to say more?  =0)
I like to edit pictures and for some strange reason this came to my mind tonight.  If only Rob was included in the purchase of these sheets.... =0)
